Did an ATM Take Your EBT Money Without Giving You Cash? Here’s What to Do

SNAP benefits are essential for many families, and your EBT card is the key to accessing those funds.

But sometimes, you may try to withdraw cash at an ATM, and the machine takes the amount from your balance without giving you any money.

Don’t panic—there’s a clear way to fix this.

What to Do If an ATM Didn’t Dispense Your EBT Cash

  1. Call EBT customer service right away: (877) 328-9677

  2. Follow the prompts to file a claim for the missing cash.

Important: The ATM owner or your bank cannot give you the missing funds. Only EBT customer service can handle this issue and work to recover your benefits.
